Il Giardino degli Aranci

One of the few green spaces in the Rione Sanità, fully redeveloped and returned to the community—especially to children—represents a perfect example of urban regeneration. Thanks to the renovation of the Giardino degli Aranci, not only was an area long inaccessible to neighborhood residents reclaimed, but the development of micro-enterprises was also encouraged, as the iron works adorning the garden’s perimeter wall—designed by Maestro Riccardo Dalisi—were entirely crafted by the IronAngels, a cooperative of young blacksmiths from the neighborhood.
